He was a master samurai who fought with the resurrected Hanzou on the 4th ninja war. He was the lord in in the neutral samurai nation. He appointed Gaara as the chief commander of the allied ninja. He was also a master genjutsu user he was able to trick Hanzou with illusion during their clash.
